Why does she always say "I don't know" instead of answering straight?

I'm really vocal and direct about my feelings. But the girl I like is the opposite. For example, I'm a very honest person when it comes to how I feel. So, there's this girl I like, and she tells me that some other guy (who I know) has began to sit at their table at lunch. She also tells me that he's more comfortable around her so he talks to her more. Obviously, I'm not psyched about it so I'm a little sarcastic and rude about the whole thing. She asks me what's wrong and to not be all mysterious about it and say it (cuz I usually am) Before I tell her, I even ask her if she's sure she wants to know, and she says yeah so I flat out tell her that I'm feeling jealous of this guy. But she responds by saying "I don't know what to tell you." She does this a lot and it's annoying. I know we aren't dating so I don't have a right to feel this way, but if she doesn't like it, she should just say so. I don't get what her problem is.

She most likely is embarrassed or really DOESN'T know what to say. Sometimes just saying your jealous may not seem lIke much. Me and this guy once had mutual feelings and after we confessed to each other he said nothing after and just went back to normal so I was like forget it then, I didn't want to keep playing guessing games. Maybe you aren't as direct as you say, be more bold and be like, I like you and I want you to go out with me. Based on whatever her response is you'll be able to tell what her problem was. You can NEVER be too direct to a girl.

I am someone who will be honest and frank, but there are many times when I don't know how to respond to something. At that point, I either won't say anything or I'll be FRANK and say “I don't know how to respond.”It could very well be the same thing with her.

She likes that you feel jealous and pay her attention, its called playing hard to get. Withhold your feeling and be the mysterious guy again don't show emotions and she'll start chasing after you. Showing too much emotions can be a bad thing.
