Why do older women act strange?

Since the lockdown has relaxed and more people are outside in day to day life, I regularly bump into women around my age (30-40) in my own neighbourhood.

However each time i glancingly say hello, any woman over the age of 30 just blank stare and do not respond. This was most demonstrated in a woman who lives 2 doors down who in this neighborhood should be social and at least say hello. Her kid was outside playing and I even retrieved his football for him that had landed in my garden..

Another time a woman was walking up my street in a summer dress and I was at least 5metres behind her. I had opened a package gleefully looking at it whilst walking and then I look up to see her stopped and shed turned right round to stare deeply at me, no hello or smile or anything. I looked at her and after a while I eventually turned my face away as she was creeping.
This was all in broad daylight.

This kind of behaviour is perhaps helping realise why men prefer to date and meet younger women. I don't have such problems with women in their 20s.

That is weird. I don't know really. I try to smile and say hi to people. Of course there are always going to be those people that you smile at in the store and they just glare at you with their eye lasers, but I just try to remember some people just aren't happy and lately I've been trying to remember everybody is going through something we don't know about. I'm trying to keep that in mind and smile anyway. However it's never been a gender or age thing to me, I see it occasionally across the board.

These were definitely a gender thing. I didn't care that she was wearing a summer dress and looking for attention so I acted like what I've got is more interesting and she had eyes behind her head lol

Well thats just 2 weird neighbors you got. and what those types of personalities changed in feminism , making it ridiculous and full of b. s. man hate is a big cause of that interaction. Some of those women may just be bitter as well

Well shit that sucks, the first example my father ended up breaking that awkward silence by approaching us and abruptly asking her about their move in. I was so annoyed I stood there arms locked. My neighbourhoor everyone knows each other and she's come from a city. The other one well she was worst just staring like I shouldn't be walking behind her or in this neighborhood yet I've lived there since childhood. Probably another person who came from out of town. The bitterness is really stupid, I've not done a thing to them.

I had no interest in hitting on them. The one walking away from me how could I possibly hit on her lol she made herself my business when she turned round and stared longingly to me to grab my attention, if I hadn't looked up I'd have walked into her.

Maybe it's just their personality? I know a few people in their 30's but they've never acted as strange as that

Wearing a summer dress does not mean someone should automatically look at her. I made it known I'm more interested in what I've got lol

Tell me about it 😂 the other weirdness that I had not mentioned, walking past two women in my street and one of them says hello to me without actually looking at me lol I get women have good peripheral vision but that's not a reason to use it in a creepy way.. again awkward
