How to make a shy guy comfortable?

Getting to know a really lovely but very shy guy and I'm taking the lead in most things, chatting, arranging a date etc

How do I get him to be more comfortable? He's super shy. I get he likes me. I don't get his shyness, can I do anything to help him?

Ask him what he likes to do and tell him you'd love to join him. For example, if he likes art, go to an art museum. If he just like to hang out at coffee shops, go out for coffee. The next time you want to talk to him, tell him "call me at x-time" and give a reason for it (actually do what you say you're going to do); because you have work, you'll be getting your hair done, you'll be grocery shopping, etc. Then tell him you look forward to hearing from him. Add a smile too.

What else do you know about him? Shy can mean a lot of different things.

One suggestion is to find something he really likes to do, and make that a date. Maybe ask his good friends for ideas.

Find an environment he's comfortable in do he can relax a little bit

It's up to him whether to become comfortable or not. Taking the lead is the best thing you can do. After both of you know each other, he will open up.
