Guys, are you ever too nervous to hang out with a girl?

If you really like a girl and think she's hot, and she tries to hang out with you:

Do you have thoughts like "I'm not gonna know what to say, and she's gonna think I'm dumb" because you get tongue tied around her?

Would you be nervous that there would be something about you she might not like? Or maybe she doesn't know the "real" you?

What about if you're worried she only wants to be friends, but you like her way more than that?

I'm trying to understand guys that get shy around their crush.

Hey, Nermalinda. I thought I'd put in my two cents on this one. It's been a few years since I got nervous around a girl I had a crush on, but the last time was when I was in Kuwait at a place called Camp Spearhead. There was this corporal who was really cute, and I used to have to deliver reports to her headquarters, where she was one of the administrative personnel. I would turn bright red in the face when I went there, but I didn't care. I'd flirt anyway, despite the fact that I know I acted like a fool around her. We never really hit it off, but I remember writing a poem about her, comparing her golden braids to twisted stalks of grain in a wind-swept field. I never showed it to her, and soon enough, I was sent back Stateside, never to see her again. I think I was worried that she'd just want to be friends, and that would make me feel stupid for putting myself out on a limb in front of her and her unit. Did that help?

Personally, this happens a lot. I seem to have to uncanny ability to develop a little bit of a crush on most girls. But for the ones I REALLY like I forget all the witty things I was going to say, all intellectual pretenses are dropped, and I probably appear like another bumbling fool in the sea of fools out there.

After much deliberation, I discovered that there is only one ay to overcome this travisty.

Not give a f***. Honestly it has made my life so much easier. Wake up and tell yourself you don't give a f***. Just remember they are as human as you are, they have things they are ashamed of, with that knowledge people don't seem so unattainable.

I think a lot of guys get nervous when there with a hot ass girl because they don't wanna goof up an look stupid infront of the girl they're trying to impress. It might take awhile but, Eventually every shy guy speaks up an say they want to be more than friends an if it's a no I guess they move on slowly.
