Boyfriend is so vague about his day, even when he did something interesting, is that a normal guy thing?

My boyfriend was away this weekend for a competition. I didn't go but I'm part of the community involved and know many of the people. The competition was yesterday, and from the group chats, sounds like people continued partying today and explored the city. My boyfriend did text me on and off about other things. What drives me crazy is that he won't tell me anything he did really. He texted me that he was almost home. I said,"Hope you enjoyed your last day in DC." He said he was getting a ride with people who turned out to be annoying. I wrote,"Was the day fun otherwise?" "Yup, I didn't really hang out with them". I said,"Glad you had a good time. Sounds like everyone pretty much partied all weekend and had a blast". Him, "Yeah, I don't party all the time." (What does that even mean?) Ugh, so vague. It drives me crazy. Same thing yesterday when he texted me at bedtime. He told me what he was eating for dinner and then for breakfast. But couldn't share what he did for fun? Did he sightsee? Just socialize or what? I have no idea. Is it a normal guy thing to be vague?

What you have to realize is that some souls, like his, are simply introverted. This is likely due to his star sign being largely incompatible with yours. Not that you can't get along, but it doesn't help in the communication department. See, I am a Libra, so I absolutely get where you are coming from, and your need/desire to share life and the events of the day, but your guy is just more internal, perhaps even living in a deep emotional world, which is very normal for many souls. We are just different. No better, no worse. :)

It's pretty normal behavior. You could try explaining you'd like to know more about the details of how his day is sometime, but I remember all the way back in school having parents asking ''and what did you do today at school dear?'' and how annoying it was

Yeah some guys are like that lol. I had guy friends who would travel every summer to places I've never been. We would talk on YMessenger (lol I know it was a loong time ago okay) while they were on their trip and oh my gosh were their answers hella vague! I would ask did you go out and they'd answer "yeah it was fun." I had to squeeze information out from them. But there are those who are very open and talkative in text as well. If your guy is like that on text then task him all your questions when you see him in person.
