Guy had feelings but turned me down. He’s in complicated relationship. He now gets jealous when I’m talking to common male friend. Why so?

What could his jealous behaviour mean? Is it red flag about his personality or does he still has feelings for me and is trying to come out of his situation and so doesn’t want me to be seeing anyone?

He may belong somewhere in Cluster B. This is the equivalent situation where a girl rejects a guy and then gets mad when such guy ignores her instead of chasing her (have a look at what I wrote the other day on this topic). What this people are after is validation and feeling desired.

If he gets jealous when you're not together, how bad do you think it will get when you are?

Honestly, this situation is driving me insane. He is an intelligent and polite guy but some of his behaviour patterns make me very stressed out.
For example, it is ok if he is texting at lunch but if I pull out my phone to check an email or some news then he says “ok I’m leaving”. He does this when we are out with our work friends.
Also, I noticed that he keeps checking what I am doing at my work desk and if I’m using my cell phone then I’ve seen him walk past me looking at my phone screen. I have nothing to hide so I act normal and do what I’m doing.
All this is after we had a talk and he admitted he has feelings for me and can see us together but chose not to pursue as he is in a complicated relationship.
He is caring guy but I wonder if I’m ignoring any red flags. I don’t want to make wrong decision in my life so I turned to gag. Please advise me how to handle this.
