Am I overreacting or not, what should I do?

So I was talking to this guy on the phone yesterday. We have gone on one date already he seemed lovely. He rang he drunk and we were having fun. I was supposed to be going to see him as he lives a hour away and I was joking saying he better not kidnap me. He then replies won’t kidnap you probably rape you though.

He obviously thought this was funny and I ended the conversation after he said it, I kinda brushed it off and said I was going asleep.

When it comes to things like rape it is a serious issue because I think for most women it’s probably one of their worst fears. He is wondering why I’m not talking to him but tbh I’m really shocked.

I would be very upfront and honest about it.
Tell him that his comment makes you feel uncomfortable and that this worries you.
If you like this guy and he likes you, he will appreciate the honesty.
If you let him know how this makes you feel and he is a jerk about it, then move on from him because there are PLENTY of nice guys out there and you don’t need that in your life.

That’s a horrendous thing to joke about 😳 Supposed when we are really drunk we say stupid stuff but I don’t think I’d be comfortable around him.
