I have a boyfriend who treats me like a princess and he’ll show up to my house with cookies and flowers and chocolate and surprise me. On Valentine’s Day or Christmas he’ll splurge and buy me Dior and rlly nice gifts. The other day he had to go coach a soccer game and was running late but still made time to bake me cookies and drop them off at my house even though he knew he was gonna be late. He also showers me with affection and is super touchy and tells me I’m beautiful and stuff like that.
Hopefully I’m overreacting but this one thing is bothering me. I have a sister who’s a year and a few months younger than me. She also is pretty , like myself, and has a lot of men that have always come after her. I can’t say I've had a lot of men come after me even though I’ve been told plenty of times I’m pretty but I still don’t rlly have a problem getting a guy interested.
When my boyfriend met my sister he said she was pretty which I didn’t think too much of because he said the same thing about my mom in a respectful way and I actually found endearing. She had a boyfriend and he’s bought me gifts for my bday so I’m cool with all the affection. My sister has a specific type and my boyfriend is kinda short.
She likes tall basketball players and my boyfriend is kinda average height and plays soccer.
We went on vacation last week and my sister was saying how she couldn’t date and short man and how short men aren’t cute and my boyfriend was like “ouch”. My dad and everyone laughed but later when him and I were alone he was like “your sisters type is her type. It’s ok if she likes tall guys”. And I don't know sometimes I feel like he compares himself to her type which is so weird to me. Like once we were talking about her and he asked what kind of guys she likes and he almost looks bummed when I tell him or puts on a “that’s ok” attitude or maybe I’m overreacting. He says he loves my whole family
He never talks about her ever unless i bring her up though. Am I overreacting?

You’re over reacting in a whole new level. He’s not sizing him self up to her or what ever intruding thoughts you may have, but to me it seems that his height has always been an issue for others and may have become an insecurity for him. It doesn’t matter if it’s your sister, your mum or your grandma that says it - it’ll effect him the same way. But yeah, relax and don’t jump the gun. Men have their own insecurities too and I guess that’s his personal insecurity. At least in my opinion.
What the hell are you even talking about? You will torpedo youelr relationship if you start thinking this way.
You’re a typical anxious women who will ruin all her relationships with this dumb shit
You’re saying I’m overreacting?
Overreacting is an understatement. This isn’t even a thing to react to at all.
