I need the 411 on Guys & thier Call/Text Ghosting meanings. Just a player or what?

Did this guy just play me?
He told me from the get go that he had issues returning calls/ texts. I thought he meant like hours or up to maybe a day or two. It seemed like good communication at the time. Now it seems like he set it up to play me and I missed it.
I ended the relationship because he didn't answer anything for several days and worse, was obviously reading them because I would get a short response when I got fed up with the silence. He would only text back when I was frustrated with talking to essentially a dead line for days on end.

So guys, you have different views, behaviors, goals, etc, on communication with girls so I didn't want to assume I did the right thing here.

I’ve had the same issue before , and I ended up finding out that that person was going through a stressful depression state of mind at the time, and was not only isolating from me, but from everyone. Sometimes it’s not just u that he’s avoiding and I’ve learned that too and seen it for myself. Not saying that’s exactly what it is but it’s likely and has happened to me. Some men are very prideful and don’t like to admit they are struggling internally because they are afraid of judgement and belittlement. Being vulnerable for a guy isn’t always the easiest thing, and some men are not easy to express themselves. U should maybe try and ask him if he’s okay and if there is something wrong u understand and maybe can try to help him. Acting concerned instead of frustrated might be ur best approach, trust me I know u are very frustrated I’ve been there and all u want to know is answers of why and being impatient is something I struggle with too, but yeh like I said ask him how he’s doing , if there is something wrong, if he’s okay, something along the lines of that. Let him know ur there for him if he wants to talk. Leave it at that Then let him reach out. Hope this helps. Ur situation could be entirely different but this is my situation.

It may depend on the content of the messages you sent. He may choose to not say anything if he has no opinion or stance on the conversation starter used

Perhaps work on better questions to ask people in the future.
