He doubled texted me?

Question

Yesterday i texted the guy I’ve been going out with and asked him what was he up to. He said “I’m just relaxing what about you?” And before i could text back he said “what are you doing”

Once i saw that text i replied back that i was driving couldn’t really text. And i asked him how his day was going. He said “my day is going great how about yours” and once again before i could reply back he texted me and said “where you at where are you going”

Why wasn’t he giving me time to reply

Just sounds like clumsy texting to me. This is why I hate relying on texting so much. People get all twisted up in a knot trying to analyze and interpret texts and assuming all kinds of negative things when there may be nothing negative going on at all.

How about give him a call and talk to him live? Maybe give that a try. Not saying that this is you, but I see way too many people trying to live their life via text and social media. For very important relationships, I recommend talking on the phone or even better in person. And as soon as you start wondering what a text is about, just call the person. And especially don’t argue or talk about something really important via text. It’s way too easy to misinterpret.

I don’t intend to lecture on this point - I have made the mistakes myself. And learned from them. I don’t rely on text so much anymore. Certainly not for talking to those closest to me, my partner, etc. I would rather talk to her and hear her sexy voice :-)

1. He could have waited 5 minuted between sending messages but the first message got delayed. Messages aren't always instant. 2. There's no rule that a person has to wait between messages. It's not a big deal if they sent you two text messages at the same time.

His texting style shouldn’t influence yours. He’s responding quick okay that’s nice but that doesn’t mean you have to reply instantly. If you’re busy and you can reply then it’s best to not respond till you finally reach your destination. He can double and tripple text but try not to be too available. If you’re genuinely busy then you don’t have to go out of your way to respond instantly. However, if you’re at home or it’s a moment you feel like picking up your phone then respond.

Texting shouldn’t be a game but at the same time if a guy is responding instantly I wouldn’t know because I’m not keeping tabs on whether he responds or not. I’ll get to it when I can. If I want to have a long meaningful conversation I’ll expect a phone call or FaceTime call. Texting is brief for me.

I don't really think it's something to worry about. To me, it sounds like he's trying to be polite and is trying to ask you the same thing you asked him as soon as possible. He might think he'd be rude if he didn't reply, so he's probably trying to message you fast, or maybe he's just naturally a really fast messenger.
But the “where you at where are you going” actually sounds suspicious, because he wants to know where you? That's what I'd worry about. But, the replying thing doesn't seem like a big problem to me, if you don't like it, you should tell him, I'd tell him if it made me uncomfortable, or if it hurt my feelings or something. I would suggest he is nervous. Those look like the actions of someone who feels like he is punching above his weight and he is bending over backwards to try and please you. Of course, the more he tries to please and impress you, the more he is making a fool of himself. I suggest if you like the guy, next time you see him tell him to relax and quit worrying.
I'm sure as things progress and he calms down, you'll get to know each other's likes and dislikes.

Second I what you are describing sounds more like a glitch in the network. Texting can have weird delays or overlapping.
Why don't you just call him next time.
Oh and stoo complaining about nothing... At least the man is communicating with you and asking you if your day and showing interest in you. So many women dont even get that much.

I think you're probably thinking too much into it. Sometimes I'll double text people without even thinking about it. Good thing is he's texting you so it sounds like he enjoys talking to you. Try not to think so much into things. If he's texting and texting you so quickly he's probably interested.

Some people spam texts instead of texting thoughtfully. Even when you said you were driving he couldn't respectfully condense his thoughts, that's a red flag in my opinion. He should be caring more about your safety rather than about where you're going.

😂 sounds like he's doing it on purpose to get you to respond quick all the time, but this prevents him knowing if you are naturally keen. Also you shouldn't use your phone whilst driving. You should respond that you were driving and you can't always respond straight away. he should work out when you are often able to text or ask when you are free. This guy is funny. An alternative reason he sprays out the same messages to all his girl contacts and knows repeating it gets better results.

I'm not a huge fan of texting when an actual call (remember those?) could get more accomplished in much less time.
