Guy friend occasionally burps in front of me? Am I friendzoned?

(in my 20’s.. not 20-35) so he burps occasionally, it’s usually one that just comes out of nowhere, the accidental ones, and he’ll say, “oh, excuse me.”
Well, last night, we were on the phone playing a video game together, he does one of those, and burps just.. gross me out. I don’t ever say anything, especially with those accidental ones, but I guess because I had my AirPod in, and it was right in my ear, I instinctively said, “ew, gross.” I really didn’t even think about it when I said it.
and he kind of laughed and said, “what do you mean gross? it’s just a natural body function that happens sometimes!”
So I laughed, “I’m sorry, burps just really kind of gross me out! “

he again reiterated they were just a natural thing, then he goes, “oh they gross you out do they, how about this one?” and he purposely burped that time. I said that’s nasty, asked him please don’t do that, he laughed, and did it again. I mean, I’m laughing through all of this, but still said “so gross, please don’t, you’re nasty.” and he was like, “what!! why!! I am not gross, I’m not nasty!”

this guy acts like he’s super into me, but then will do something like this.. I felt this interaction definitely showed me I’m in the friend zone with this guy.. would I be correct in assuming that?

No. Little boys who pick up worms and crawly things with their hands and make little girls scream and shiver, are not friend zoning them. It's funny for the boys, and sometimes it makes the girl laugh as well as shudder.

He's flirting, believe it or not. Not with the burp, that never even entered his head. But with mocking your reaction to it... yeah, he's not friendzoning you.

Depends on the guy. I burped and farted CONSTANTLY in front of my boyfriend back when he was just a crush. I’m not talking dainty ones either, my burps are loud and my farts are louder. I’d even make a production out of it. I’d ask him to pull my finger, to which I’d reply by ripping a giant fart. It was actually my way of flirting, because I was trying to make him laugh. It worked, too. All I have to do is rip ass in front of him when he’s in a bad mood and it gets him giggling.

It sounds like this guy might be trying to do the same thing, but again, it depends on his sense of humor.

haha, no fist bumps! he doesn’t do friend Jen touching behavior. In fact, a few weeks ago, went to a haunted house and when I told him I get super scared when someone jumps out at me so whoever I’m following always gets held on to really tight.. and after he told me I should follow him through it, and made dang sure no one else got in front of me. like would actually tell them, “no, she’s following me.” so, I assumed he wanted me to touch him? also, he kept placing his hand on my arm when talking to me. so, I felt that wasn’t “friendzone” touching behavior.. but then he’ll do something like this burping thing. so confusing! 🤦🏻‍♀️
