Have you ever been hit on by a worker/employee?

A friend and I went out to lunch at a restaurant that we didn't often go to (a nearby town, but not our usual area), and this was a chain restaurant (Lyons) that was kind of like a Dennys but with better quality food. Still, not at all a high end place.
Our waitress was exceptional, though. She took our orders quickly and correctly and with confidence, had drinks out quickly, brought out refills before the glass dropped below 1/3 full, and was just on the ball. My buddy, who is Mormon, immediately recognized that she was as well (clothes and necklace), and had some conversation with her. He was buying lunch, and I left a 25% tip, and just as we were leaving, he looked at me, and then doubled my tip (so, a 75% tip).
He went back a couple of days later and got her number. Turns out she was in college and only back in her hometown for a week between semesters, but had worked at the restaurant before college and was welcomed to work there whenever she was available. We'd lucked into eating there during a rare time that she was home.
That was almost 30 years ago, and they're married and their oldest kid is now in college.
Who the hell needs help in the pastry section. Dude was trying to exercise some of those Target fringe benefits.
Recently I was at the grocery store. I was looking for a particular item and a masked guy was standing in my way in the isle staring at the shelves. After excusing myself, he named exactly what I was looking for and said he'd have it on the shelf in 10 minutes (he was from the supplier). No problem. I thanked him and said I'd come back.
A few minutes went by and he found me half way across the store. He was carrying an arm full of the item I needed, this time no mask. I was shocked (people aren't *that* friendly where I live). I thanked him a bunch of times, but then he stood there in front of me with a smile and awkward silence until I thanked him again and bailed.
Maybe he was just being nice, I don't know.
Once but I didn't even realize it until I got home. I was at a drive through and they were really busy so they had a guy outside taking orders manually. He was flirting and joking around and I was more worried about making sure the order was right lmao

When I first started working at my current school there was an older man (old enough to be my father) that would stare at me. He finally came over and gave me a card with his number on it and told me he could help me get used to the job. It was so creepy. I never called. About a week later I was in a classroom by myself and I got the weirdest feeling ever, turned around and he was watching me again. Then he asked if I was ever gonna call him. I just tried to laugh it off. But I made sure to never be alone again. He got the hint after realizing I was avoiding him. Maybe 2 or 3 months later another teacher reported him for sexual harassment. He ended up retiring.
I kind of thought this waitress was hitting on me. Because she gave me free stuff for no reason at all. I asked my friend about it and he said he didn't know.
Waitresses always do that to me. Or, they do that a lot, at least. It's weird, because I don't think I look rich or anything.
Many times, they ask "Can I get anything else for you?" after everything has been gotten and there isn't anything else that they could possibly get. I mean, even after they've brought the To-Go box. And they ask it more than once. So I'm honestly always stumped by that question. Because, I know the obvious answer is "Your phone number.". But I'm always thinking in the back of my head that it has to be a trick and I'm just overthinking it and letting my imagination run wild. So I always just say "No, thank you" and then leave and go home.
Some years ago I was often at Torchy's Tacos in Dallas. A really cute employee, about 25 years younger than me came out and introduced herself. If I had been single I would have asked her if she did that with everyone, or if I was special. Then I would have invited her to dinner.
Not sure how a employee asking if you need any help is considered hitting on you.
I've been directly hit on though, employee asking if I need help and then after he is done helping, he will ask for my number.
Bit more direct that way, so I get it.
Not a worker but from a doctor. About a month ago my son had surgery and the anesthesia doctor was non stop flirting with me. Saying shit like I had pretty eyes and hair, kept look up and down my body checking me out. Didn't help that my son ended up having a issue with the anesthesia so this guy comes back and sits with us till we left. Was a super awkward situation 😳
All the time lol... Actually at this point it became annoying... One time I was at the hospital for something and she kept talking to me for too long the guy waiting in the back with his mom got angry... Many times when with friends buying stuff, the female employee do the same...
I met my wife this way. I went in to the Gap and she was flirting with me. I was back and forth on whether she was just doing her job and being nice or flirting. But it was a little too nice and I caught her looking at my package so I decided to go for it and ask her out there.
Hmmm sounds too mundane of an interaction to seem like he was hitting on you, unless his body language made it more obvious 🤔
but nah that stuff doesnβt happen to me lol
Lol he definitely did hit on you!!!
@Marianna34n how can you tell?
I don't know i just feel like he did.. I don't think her mother would giggle for no reason at all
Bella if I was ever hit on by an employee in a store I was oblivious to it. But this guy you mention was definitely checking you out. Approaching you at the pastry display is sorta symbolic.

I have but they've all been married women, which is as puzzling as it is disappointing. No I didn't flirt back. I don't go near married women. Maybe in 2022 people think it's okay for married people to flirt, but I don't think it's appropriate.
Mainly when I've been in the states, happened a few time in the year when I lived over there, must be the English accent 😂
My husband has a foreign accent and the women swoon... Some of the men do too! Everyone wants to be his friend. π
πππππππ
Even my patients try sometimes to flirt with me, after root treatment their joyfulness disappears. XD
If being asked if I need help with anything when shopping qualifies as being hit on. I get hit on a lot every time I go to a store.
I've never been hit on before except one time at the doctors office these two girls were in their middle 20's and I was age 16 and they were checking me out and I was real shy
I have been hit on by a supervisor. I have been hit on by a coworker.
Haven't been hit on by an employee. Hit by an employee? Yes.
how can you not tell by his tone and body language? 😂
i guess it is harder to tell with masks on too
Not really "hit on", but there IS this checker at the local Menard's who calls ALL the guys by some pet name.
My cousin couldn't walk into a store without guys giving her their number. She went to a 3 school wrestling tournament of mine and left 90 minutes later with 30 numbers.
Yes I have and Iβve hit on fellow employees also 😂😂
