My friends with benefits is confusing me?

Anonymous
So it was my decision to be casual as he works away a lot out of the country and I didn’t want to get attached, he agreed to be casual too.

However I noticed he would try and make me jealous by telling me he had girls after him, I’m lucky to have him, he’s getting lots of attention. I never used to react I just would say I don’t see why you’re telling me but no problem. He started mentioning we should go out for a drink and a weekend away which I never agreed to.

He then had to go work in Dubai for 4 months so messaged me saying there was no point in our arrangement as he wouldn’t be here, I agreed and removed him from social media. He had a huge go at me and said why would I do that and not let him finish what he had to tell me. While he was away I was told by friends they seen him partying with girls etc on social media, so I mentioned it as a joke he called me a psycho, told me to leave him alone then he apologised for being with the girls but I ignored him.

A month after this I start dating a new guy and my friends with benefits comes back home and sees I’m in his area and wants to see me, I told him I’ve moved on and he said I bet he’s ugly, his an oap (my new guy is 12years older), you will always like me then blocks me. I find a way to message him and say what is your problem you’re acting strange.

He finds out I’m now single and then tells me how I need to stop picking and choosing when I want him as he is far too good for that and has told me he has no idea what is going on with me and what is wrong with me.

why would he act like this?
