If a guy rejects you because of makeup, what's the reason?

My friend asked a guy I've known for a couple of years but never really spoken to if he wanted to "get with me" and told the guy that I think he's cute. The guy responded with, "I'd have to see her without makeup." I don't wear that much makeup, not even foundation. I never thought the guy would say yes, or think I'm cute. But that just seemed like a bitter rejection to me.

If someone bases their overall interest in a person on makeup, then that person isn't ready to be dating anyone yet.
