Why do guys lose interest over text?

I met this guy on a dating app and we both hit it off well and started talking on Snapchat shortly after

He was complimenting me saying I was stunning and that we should meet up so we’re going on a date for food and drinks next Friday

but today he hasn’t messaged me all day and has been active. So thought Id sent him a pic of my tattoo (cause he said he loves my tattoo) with the caption “fresh out the shower, work tomorrow morning 😢”

he opened my measage and didn't even reply. It was a sexy shot of my thigh tattoo and nothing

Why agree on a date and compliment me then not message me?

How long has been silence? Because the point is that guys and girls communicate differently. Girls have a need to talk daily to feel secure that the other person is still interested in them but that´s not necessarily the case for guys.
If I showed you my message history with my buddies you´d see that we have time periods of weeks where we don´t message even once in a week but we still know that the other one still likes or supports us when we need them.
What makes you sure, he lost interest in you? Because I rather think that there is misunderstanding between the two of you.

It could be over numerous reasons, some can be your actions while others can be something that had nothing you had to do with. People can be flaky online and in the dating world, it’s truly confusing because no Knows all the details except them. Just dust yourself off and try again

It possible he might lost interest in you but most likely he could be busy and not be able to reply and he could just wait till you both meet face to face so you both can know each other better than just by text. I wouldn't worry about him not replying he just could be unable to or don't know what to say.

Honestly I observed the opposite, that girls loose interest in texting very quickly to the point they reply after 2 days or not at all. Its a pain in the ass to keep a convo going and her interested.
But I admit I prefer talking irl it just feels bettef than just boring text on your phone. Sadly I'm too shy too approach girls irl
