Guys, Guy acts interested, but leaves the ball in my court often. I suggest meeting again soon. Then he asks when I am free. And never responds. Why?

For starters he gave me his number. Asked if I would take it and I agreed (we have a common hobby) I texted him "hey" right away so he would have my number and would not think that I just took his for nothing. Then he texted me later on that same night saying it was good meeting me etc. He was supposed to give me some piece of info on our hobby but instead of doing so in that first message he says: "I will have to send you the info etc. I thought it was odd. He obviously wanted me to ask for it. But why? Was he not sure I was still interested or that I would follow with a response? I responded the following morning asked for it he gave it to me we talked over text very well. Then couple of times more. One of which he texted me first. Then I said would not it be better in person? He said he thought so too and offered to meet soon. Adding that he is always down for meeting me. I said yes and asked if he had a place in mind. And before he answered I added "please don't say your place" he said haha and that he was going to say that but that we can figure something out. I jokingly said I'm counting on you meaning let's figure something out but hoping he would come up with an idea of where to meet. Then he said "you will have to let me know when you are free". So I frantically started checking my schedule without saying anything. And when I got through deciding what days would work for me I simply answered that such and such day is the closest I am free. Unfortunately it took me about 20 min to respond. I didn't ask if it worked for him or anything else. And then nada! He never responded me. I was pretty shocked! And I am lost at why not? Any possible explanations would be highly appreciated!

The best I can come up with he waited 10 or so minutes for you to reply.. after then he thought you'd forgotten about him so he went away and did something else..

That is my theory anyway.

When it comes to texting/ messaging etc.. I am terrible. if he's anything like me, you're going to have to lighten up on how long it takes, but it is no reflection on you.. Just some of us don't see the rush to answer as important..

I know it isn't what you wanna hear, but maybe just gives a bit of insight.

I kinda thought maybe I took too long. But then it's not like he ever answered right away unless we are in the middle of a conversation. The problem is I really liked him and thought he liked me too. I'm bad at texting too so I thought to meet face to face sooner. And now it's been like almost 2 weeks and today I thought of asking what happened. But as there is no answer I guess the ship has sailed.. I'm usually not that crazy about anyone but with him it took me by surprise. And now I'm kinda mad. And want to give me a piece of my mind.. who gets upset if it's like 20 min? And if he wasn't that interested then why lead me on? But thank you for your input.

I don;'t know if this will help you... but if it is to end, it is better to end it on your terms? Could you not say something like.. OK well I've clearly done something to upset you, you know where I am if you decide you want to talk again.

Thank you, it sorta happened before I didn't answer right away when he sent me a pic
cause was thinking of what to say and then was driving. And when I answered he didn't respond. So I waited and then confronted him the next day. Asking why he disappeared. He said he had to cause he thought I did t want to talk. I said I did. So I guess he got upset that I'm a slow answer. He might had some insecurities cause he knows I had other options. Well, bummer. I need me a go getter anyways.

Yeah I guess... I would find it all a bit irritating having to walk around on eggshells in case I did something and upset em.. I prefer face to face contact over text any day of the week.

That's probably it. I got the feeling he might have thought that I'm a player. And I'm thinking he is either a player or is trying to be safe in case he is being played. I don't know. We just met once and then some texting. Texting isn't cutting it for me. So I thought we would meet and then will both figure out what we want from each other.

It doesn’t really matter don’t have pride pride will get you in a lost relationship only if he’s doing something very bad then you have pride and ignore him for a while
