If it's often with context like there's a stimulating conversation then it's valid but if you just keep asking her what are you doing and then say oh that's cool, that's when it doesn't encourage me to keep talking to a guy cause they're expecting me to add the interest and he's the one who hit me up so there must be something he wants to share
