Why does a guy look at me from the corner of my eye?

There’s this guy that will look at me from the corner of his eye Whenever he’s sitting in front of me far away he looks at me and turns his body to the side to look at me from the corner of the eye and when I move or look in his direction he looks away and looks back down in him phone

today he was going to hold the door for my 3rd period and when he saw me he immediately went inside and today I made eye contact with him for 3 seconds because I looked in his direction and looked away but he kept looking at me for 2 seconds more before turning away

I feel like this guy is weird but I want to hear honest opinions about this because he’s just creeping me out at this point
