So I posted about him before but I’m not sure how to act around him now.
He’s 35 and I’m 22, we aren’t close, he gave me mixed signals and I always had a gut feeling he liked me.
Last Saturday he asked me what I was up to in the afternoon and I told him I had uni work to do and jokingly we said I’d study in his shop as he worked. I thought yolo and went and it kind of convinced me he does like me. I was studying so he just tried to be around me without disturbing me, just asking if I wanted him to go buy me a coffee or some food, occasionally teasing me. At some point he asked me if I could look something up for him and after I did he was like “you deserve a kiss” and kissed my cheek. He obviously noticed I didn’t mind so he started doing more of that.
After I got done with my work we kind of settled in a no-personal-space position and he asked me questions about my book.
It all seems he likes me but what really tipped me off was him taking about our age gap again and he seemed pensive/sulky.
So I think the problem with him is that he’s scared of the age gap (which makes sense). I understand the things that come with a age gap but I’d rather try and see what happens knowing it might end bad than not trying at all.
Today I went and told him I was passing by and thought I’d stop and say hi and he was glad, we chatted a bit and once we said bye he told me he’d see me tomorrow. Which is like something “weird” cause I have no reason to see him unless I happen to pass by his shop. Or I purposefully go see him.
So I guess I’m just trying to see what he means? We’re not close but we talked about our backgrounds and I met quite a few of his friends.
I guess what I’m scared for is that he doesn’t mean well. I tend to be skeptical always. He seems like a nice guy and never invaded my space and my thoughts without being sure I didn’t mind.
I don’t know if his behavior is a way to like make me do the call and see what /I/ do or whatever he’s doing? And what should I do?
