Am I acting desperate?

So this guy asked for my snap a year ago at the caravan park and we spent a few hours playing spotlight and hanging out.

We talk on and off. He asked if I could go to his footy games a few times and I said maybe but never really went. He’s a nice boy.

We snap each other every few months and might talk for a bit but we eventually stop.

He does try and get my attention a bit. He sent me a shirtless mirror selfie asking what I thought and I said ‘I like the micella water on the bench’. He also asked me to ‘entertain’ him and I made full fun of him for that and have him none of whatever he wanted.

But when we play truth or dare, I’m pretty open and he’s more closed off. He doesn’t give a lot away but if he asks me a truth question, I give him the full run down. I guess im just a lot more chatty and open.

I also snap him most the time when he doesn’t snap me back for a day or two, because I know he gets a lot of snaps (he had a 1M snap score).

I found out today that our parents knew each other in school and I messaged him and told him.

I think I act a lot more chatty with him. Like I love to talk haha and he’s a bit more closed off but a nice guy, he tries to give nice responses

So am I acting desperate? Is being chatty and open, and snapping him when he doesn’t reply every now and again, and stuff being too much? He normally starts conversations and stuff but I have a couple of times.

He’s a bit confusing.

Nah you are not, I agree with @themajesticking777

some people are just more chatty than others,

I can message one of my WhatsApp groups and I know those who will reply most are and chat more.

Also some are more chatty on say social media than they are in real and some are more chatty in real than on social media.

desperate to me is when a person keeps chasing the other for an answer or a reply etc. if it’s just random chatting and stuff, then that’s like normal conversation chatty stuff.

People are confusing it’s part of the fun and frustration in life lol.

By the way you act you sound kinda the opposite cause looking desperate would be more on kissing his ass and shit, y'all don't talk too much for any of y'all to look desperate but you can look desperate if you out in too much effort or you are the only one putting effort by always teaching out to him first, best way to prevent that is by not letting the conversation die

Thanks for your opinion! Yeah I’ll try not to let it die too much but one of snaps each other eventually. I don’t do it always. I may snap him for streaks but I dont usually talk, he usually initiates actually talking.

Oh then that's good, I'd say kinda even out the effort, if he hits you up one time, the next time you start the convo, so he knows there's interest, if he doesn't see interest he will get bored 💯

Apart from your question, I noticed you ask questions about personal details of your life, believe me, the world is a horrible place and there are a lot of pervs out there who look to prey on young girls like you and especially when they happen to be minors like yourself, you should share your fears and concerns with someone you trust and if it is a serious issue, seek the help of a trusting adult
I know I dont have any right to tell you what to do but when I see these stories about how young girls being victimised by those animals and how it all started by a " hi" text or what ever it makes me sick to my stomach and I would really like it if that never happen to any other girl

I actually got groomed online when I was 11. They know what they’re doing for sure. I’ve had therapy on how to spot people like this and look out for myself.

People can be great manipulators but when you’ve had people trying to manipulate you your whole life, it gets pretty hard to be tricked lol

I don’t usually talk to people online (like in dms and stuff especially) but if I do, I’m very careful and I don’t believe everything they say. I’m not afraid to put someone in their place either.

Honestly, I'm not really sure. It's hard to say without seeing his responses or knowing his mannerisms more in-depth. But I'm leaning towards him knowing you're just a chatty person and not being off-put by it. Though I think your judgement would be best, since you are familiar with all the intricacies of your relationship with him.

Well I think he thought I was a little odd when I told him I knew our parents were friends.

But then my mum messaged his dad and his dad must of told him. And I also told him that I only know because my cousin saw him on my snap and stalked him because she thought she knew him. So he didn’t think I was weird after that because he was more friendly about it and said a lot more.

He usually initiates more conversation with me than I do with him. I snap him a bit more (I don’t spam him and he replies) but he usually initiates more conversation.

He also tries to get my attention a bit and I think how we stopped talking was kinda my fault. He kept asking me go to his games and I said maybe and didn’t because I was too shy to ask my mum at the time.

But a couple months ago I told him I thought he was cute and once I get my license, we should hang out. He said for sure because I’m cute too and we’d look good together haha

I think he’s just a bit more reserved and doesn’t talk as much. I’m lot chattier than him.
