Is it friends with benefits, is he just using me, or does he like me?

i broke up with my boyfriend and started hangout out with my friend toris friend group. one of the guys found out that I was single and we ended up talking at a bar and kissing he was cute and I liked him but I also knew that he was newly single and definitely not looking for a relationship. That night he ended up asking me to come home with him but I said no.

A few months passed and I wasn't going out with toris friend group as much but then I went out for a birthday at a bar with them and the guy (Alex) was there. We talked a little but I felt really awkward about the whole situation before so I kinda kept my distance.

Then a few weeks after I was out again with toris friends and Alex was really paying attention to me and flirting the whole night and I ended up sleeping with him. Chemistry, everything, was great. Alex drove me home the next day but never asked for my number I didn't think about it too much because I figured it was just going to be a one-night stand. We saw each other a few times since I went out for his birthday with the group and he was really close to another girl all night so I kept my distance. But a few weeks ago I was with Tori and we went to a party that Alex was at and Alex and I were talking a little throughout the night but then when everyone was leaving the bar he asked if I want to sleep at his place and I did and I thought it was great so what does this mean if he wants to be friends with benefits why doesn't he ask for my number?
