Hey Everyone! Buckle in this story is a long one and could really use advice. I dated this guy for 4 years, we broke up in March and haven't spoken since. I reached out to him recently to see if he wanted to "catch up" as friends. I trying the slow (lets see where this goes) approach. He says he wants to catch up but at the "right time" and that he is stressed with work cause he wants to make sure it goes in a good direction. My logic is work is always going to be stressful, and if an opportunity presents itself takes it. Can someone translate to me what exactly does he mean by this? Is he just stalling for more time and is this worth the wait a all or should I just move on?

It means he is not interested.
@spartan55 then why would he tell me 3 times in the same paragraph that he is interested? Lol... My questions isn't if he is interested. He has told me that he is interested.
Yeah, and I can tell you that I'm the Prince of Flower Mound too, does that make it true? He can feed you whatever bullshit he wants, and say it as many times as he wants. He IS NOT INTERESTED
He is jerking you around. Someone who is truly interested doesn't need the 'right time'... that's bullshit. If that were true then why say something now? Wait until the 'right time'. But that won't come.
@spartan55 ... dude relax, lol you are reading into my questions wrong. I am telling you that he is interested, I literally have it in writing there is no confusion here. Second of all stop cursing at me (why you mad tho?). I feel like your misunderstanding the question and adding unnecessary factors that you think help the story. Please discontinue to comment. Appreciate
Yeah, keep telling me what to do. Don't need to relax, not cursing at you or even close to being mad. So you struck out there.
I'm not misunderstanding anything. You think because you have in writing it's true? What am I adding to your story... lol... just making things up left and right.
Yeah wait... I'm sure he will be coming around soon... 😂 😂
@spartan55 your 50 on this website, please go find a hobby bro. You obvisouly don't know a lot of relationships. Go find a hobby with your day.

@SueShe
Thank you, I appreciate it.
When he has things together
Thank you for the reply. How long do you think I should wait to reach back out or will he reach back out to me, when he is ready? I just feel awkward, and why he feels the need to "get everything together" when I only asked an invitation to catch up as friends.
With guys, it is either "we are not really interested or "I'm a train wreck... I can't do this now."

What do you really want from him?
@avicenna a friendship, but he is talking about the "right time" to catch up as friends. Should be asking what does he want from me cause why do you need a "right time" to catch up as friends. Hopefully this relates to my confusion.
Then you need zkk ok be patient somit doesn’t get misinterpreted

@avicenna sounds good. How long should I wait until I bring this up again?
@SueShe Stop commenting under my post. I am trying to get advice from people and you are spamming my post. You misunderstood my message and your advice is no longer needed. Please go find a hobby... or another questions to answer.
@asker
You sure seem to think you can tell everyone what to do. That's funny.
@spartan55 Ouch, you just said something that will have you banned by this asker...
@SueShe
What's that?
@spartan55 You criticized the lady. Some people don't react too well.
Catch up then ask him out
Thats what I was thinking @iron_man! I originally asked him if he wants to catch up but he said it wasn't the right time to "catch up" which was confusing to me. So do I just be forward and ask him "what day and time works best for you" or do I just go silent and wait for him to come back to me? Thank you for your respond.
You can wait for a little while but then if he doesn’t do anything ask him
@iron_man if said this on Thursday 7/14/22 whats a good time to revisit the conversation again? And by revisit I mean this time be more forward and ask "are you free on x day at x time?" Without sounds inconsiderate of the "right time". Thank you again for your reply
Ask him in the next seven days
