Guys: why would you keep looking at a woman and ignore her when you have her attention?

There is a guy who keeps looking/staring at me all the time. The few times I tried talking to him, he ignored me…One time we were playing tennis and his shirt fell on my side of the court. When I gave it back to him, he didn’t even look at me or said “thank you”.. nothing! So I decided to simply ignore him because personally I’m not a fan of people who lack gratitude. As I’ve started ignoring him too, he keeps looking at me and when he notices I caught him looking, he starts acting conceited and serious. I just don’t get it, why would a guy do this?

Yeah, I was like this when I was a teenager. I wanted her so fucking bad but I had absolutely no idea how to talk to her. She terrified me.

She was too far out of my league. I felt like if I talked to her she'd look at me like: um, I'm a fucking goddess and you're a worm. Why the fuck do you think it's okay to talk to me?
