Is it weird I had to convince him to use my shower?

The first time I stayed at his in the morning I asked if I could use his shower.
He got me a towel and flannel and even had a spare toothbrush.
I borrowed one of his t-shirts since my top was dirty from all the night before.
When he stayed at mine for the first time I laid out a flannel, towel and du-rag plus a toothbrush.
He slept til late then only brushed his teeth.
This time he tried to do the same but I insisted that he could use my shower.
And he kind of reluctantly used it.
He was in there a while I'm guessing because my water pressure is so low.
But when he came out he was fresh and clean.
What I find more odd is that he new he was staying over but didn't even think to bring anything of his own.
Is this odd?

No, it's not odd. A lot of men don't plan, and don't sweat the small stuff. Unless he works in a professional environment where image is really important, he's not necessarily going to worry about having extra clothes and toiletries just to spend the night somewhere. Men just don't worry about those things like girls do.

I forget such basic necessities even if I plan. Shirt? Check. Pants? Check. Toothbrush? Wait, did I leave it at home...

Sometimes things just escape our mind and they don't come up to our mind until there is a physical reminder of it.

@GallopAcrossEurope Right. For a lot of guys, a pair of underwear, socks, a shirt, and a toothbrush represent "planning" if it's just an overnight stay - and plenty of guys don't even "plan." If he has to go directly to a high-profile office job, then, yeah, he'll want a full change of clothes and a full shaving kit, but if he's a gym instructor or he's going to drive a forklift for Amazon, then socks, shirt, and underwear are the critical items.

I understand, I struggled the first time when I stayed at my half sister. Then she embarrassed me for not using the shower just washing in the sink because I wanted to get out as soon as...

That does kinda strike me as odd. I wouldn't think too much about it though. Some guys get weird about imposing on a woman's hospitality.

That's understandable. When he came out the shower I really hyped him up, saying how good he smelt and how much it was turning me on... But when he moaned about his hair instead of asking if he could use a hair brush I made little jokes saying people would know what he was up to...
Tbh I want him to feel comfortable to ask, and he can only do that when he starts asking...
