Guys, Why would a man accept being "treated like shit" by everyone else except the person they claim to love?

I don't understand that. Mayne i phrased it oddly but i dont know how else to get it across... Why is it ok for everyone else (his mother, friends, family, etc.) to treat a man like shit but once it's someone he's dating it's not?

And by treat them like shit I mean by that man's definition. It's literally the same treatment or even better treatment than everyone else gives that person. It's no issue when they do it but becomes an issue when the S. O does it.

It's not that they can, it's that the person who shouldn't treat you in such a way is the one you "love" or the one who says they "love" you back.
