If you ask someone to cut contact but they refuse to do so, is this disrespectful or a sign that I don't care about your decision?
I told this guy (who has been very disrespectful to me) that we won't talk anymore and he refused saying he will talk. We ended up fighting and he finally agreed that when we see each other, we won't say anything anymore.
However, since that day, he's constantly saying hello and smiling.
Is this disrespectful?

We agreed not to say anything. He finally agreed though he was never agreeing to the idea of me leaving from his life. He kept saying he doesn't have an opinion on this, he will talk when he wants to, he will say hello but I didn't want to keep communicating. He had agreed not to say anything to me but now he's saying hellos
Yeah he got too attached and he's just desperate at this point... And when you're desperate you don't respect the other person's boundaries, can't keep promises...
