I’d say you’d have been within your rights to kick buddy in the plums. I was a bouncer for many years, and at one place, my usual post was between a bunch of pool tables that were usually the first places people would gather. Two different groups might start playing pool with one another, and there were a bunch of times when I overheard those kind of guys you’re talking about. I’d notice a lot of them would try to steer the conversation into sexual territory almost immediately, and I’d just know I’d have to keep an eye on the situation.
