Will guys lose interest after rejection?

There is this guy in my class he has ego but also he is shy freshman year he used to text me a lot even tho I was obviously not interested he would try to find any excuse to get my attention

I made it clear couple of times I don't like him then he stopped trying I felt like he lost interest it's Been like a year now I'm starting to catch him looking at me and text me couple of times about something

So is it that he still like me?

Yes if a girl rejects me I take it as an end of interest. Especially if she repeated her decision I would move on.

It depends on the guy and the girl. One girl rejected me, and I still liked her. I wanted to move on, but it wasn't that easy.
