Do guys lie about their feelings?

My guy best friend is so caring for my sister. When we went bowling on Christmas day, my sister didn't know how to hold the bowl. So my guy friend took her hand and put her fingers into it. And every time my sister was playing, he came to the scoreboard and checked her points. And give her some advice too. My sister is terrible at bowling, so she didn't score much. But when she got to the point, my friend clapped and cheered. I have noticed several times that he cares about her. I can't ask him directly, but I would love it if my sister and my guy's best friend dated each other. When I teased him saying "Oh! Love in the air" in front of my sister, he said to my sister while smiling adorably, "Don't listen to her; she is out of her mind. Just don't listen to her; that's it." I hope he will ask out my sister soon.

If you're wondering whether your interpretation of someone's emotions is more or less likely to be correct than their own words... odds are that neither is going to be particularly informative. Some people can't control the things they wish to keep private, but that doesn't mean your interpretation of things is accurate, and you certainly shouldn't act under the assumption that it is.

Yes they can, anyone can. In this case I would keep out of it and let them work out what they want. Yes invite him for more bowling or similar, but do not interfere, just let whatever happens happen.

From my experience guys are usually quite sincere about their feelings.

I'm sure he likes your sister but he is afraid of being rejected. Women love attention and often give green signals, but when a man asks her out she will hit him with "I have a boyfriend", or "I just see you as a friend".

It is possible, but "feelings" can themselves be liars that deceive us into liking people or things that are horrible for us.
