Guys, does telling something very personal to a girl mean anything to you?

I started seeing someone just before the holidays started, and we've been apart for 3 weeks. We emailed each other every few days, and actually managed to have conversation that wasn't just superficial "hey, what's up?" so I figured he's still into me. His responses have always been very thoughtful and I could always tell that he spent some time composing them. In one of the correspondences, he chose to share something very personal to him. I don't think it's really a secret, but it's not exactly something that I can see him going around telling everyone either. Do you think this possibly means that he really likes me (and not just attracted to me sexually), etc etc? We're not even close to being official, we've only kissed then we had to leave for the holidays. I was really touched that he told me this, but maybe I'm overreacting?

yes, most people won't tell anyone about their personal lives. if someone tells you, it means they trust you, which probably means he is attracted to you not only sexually.

It's usually a sign that he feels close to you..This girl I'm crazy about told me some personal things over the summer and we seemed to get closer because of it.

i'd say so yeah, why would he tell you something so private, unless he wanted to go deeper in a relationship.
