I told a shy guy I like him in a note (long story, it was the best way). I gave him my number and told him to text me if he liked me too and he has not and it has been almost three weeks. *what I mean by shy is that he is quiet and does not initiate conversation unless you are a good friend of his or is "work business"*

Now, however, we always make eye contact and I catch him looking at me all the time. Is this indicative of him liking me too? Should I actually ask him out? Confused on what to do.

I never even thought of it like that before. I am a very extroverted person, so placing myself in "shy shoes" is very difficult. I thought that he would have loosened up because we were getting along so very well. Like we were talking more and more and even engaging in flirty conversation. He was giving all the "im interested" signals so I was confused of his lack of response. I am definitely going to have to say something to him because I will kick myself if I don't

Most probably, he likes you too. But the original incentive in the form of your written message was not enough. So, if you feel comfortable, you may ask him out. Or try talking to him if an opportunity presents itself. You can ask him questions and see what his reaction to you is. You can then decide the next steps based on your observations.

well we have known each other for a long time and at first when he got the note he kinda freaked out and avoided me, but within the last week and a half we have been making more and more eye contact and talking more and more. I hope this is demonstrative of him coming out of his shell and building the courage to approach me...

I talk to him sparingly whenever I muster up the courage at work. Unfortunately I only seen him in passing. While I was rounding a corner he was right there and I bumped right into him. All I could muster up to say was "i'm sorry" with this goofy smile on my face. He gave a little smile back and said "oh don't know worry, it's okay"...thats our latest interaction lol
