They can, subject to what others mentioned already about muscle growth.
I will also add that if you are only feeling them in the quads it's quite possible you aren't using your glutes and hamstrings enough to get out of the bottom of the squat. Think about opening up your hips not just straightening your knees

They can but it depends on diet and load and all that. When people say squats do it they don't mean bodyweight squats. Had to be heavy loaded squats with enough weight to fail in the 8 to 12 rep range. And you have to combine it with a calorie surplus.
There's a better butt workout for bigger butt. Lie on your back on the floor with your feet on the ground and knees bended. Then raise your butt off the ground, focusing on your glutes. Then back down to the ground again. Do then everyday. You can check YouTube to see how to do them correctly.
They don't make it bigger, just more lifted and toned which give the appearance of it being bigger.

depends on your diet :D if you gain weight you get a bigger butt automatically... it just is all fat then... throw a little exercise in and you may get a bit of muscle under the fat and when loosing weight you loose the fat and just the muscle is left
Yes they can add muscle which has a volume. The amount of muscle depends on how well you put on muscles genetically, your diet and the amount of weight and reps you're squatting. Most women don't put on much muscle though.
yes they do. my teammate does squats and she has a hell of a butt!
muscle butt is always better than fatty butt :)Making it bigger is not totally correct, it actually shapes and firms it.
I'm sure they do, I just haven't been able to keep it up for a long enough period of time lol.. But they won't make your butt all juicy and big, just really solid. I think. Lol
Squats actually don't make your ass bigger. They make it get firm and more lifted up but not bigger.
yeah but id rather say firmer and rounder.
Yes I think so
