Are you scared of bugs/insects?

I posted this in health and fitness because bugs/insects can affect the mental health of a person who is scared of them. I am very very scared of them. I hate them all, even lady bugs and butterflies. I wish they were all gone.

Well considering that the deadliest animal on the planet is in fact the mosquito killing 2 million a year from malaria alone, you may have a basis for such fear, however, there is fear and then their is crippling fear. If you are at a point where merely the site of a bug in a cage or a box or behind a glass causes you to have a severe reaction or you cannot function, you may need to seek out professional help to help you get to a point where its not taking over your life because bugs are literally everywhere. You don't have to love them, but you and everyone else is going to have to live with them.

Almost have panic attacks whenever I see water bugs, roaches, and bugs that look foreign. I literally run screaming. It's terrible. There was a preying mantice at my job and the customers heard me screaming at the back of the store. Yup its serious.😷

Awe. You saying you hate them makes me a bit sad. I like most of these creatures. I think it's interesting how they live and all of their quirks and abilities.

I like summer because there's a lot of fascinating little creatures out: grasshoppers, dragonflies, butterflies, crickets, and lightning bugs. I love to ride my bike at night and watch the lightning bugs come out, and listen to the chirps of the crickets.

That being said, there are a few I would be careful around: scorpions, poisonous spiders, and wasps. But I wouldn't say they scare me. I'd just give them their space.

Don't forget bumblebees. I like them too. They have a stinger, but are generally peaceful.

I love bugs. I think they're fascinating. I was going to go to school for Entomology (the study of bugs) but the closest university that offers it is two and a half hours away and I'm not in a position to move.

Insects can only sting and its unusual they are life threatening unless you are somewhere a bit outlandish... try not to worry... Maybe try and get past it slowly by holding something harmless in your hand :)

I used to be scared of birds then one day i went to a pet store who specialised in parrots when my dad was wanting one. The owner put me in an aviary with his smaller parakeets and i was covered in them... he cured me for life to a point where i will cuddle my dads parrot :)

I would cry if someone gave me a bug. And I know... I just try to stay away from them because the world needs Bugs. I get that, I just wish it didn't have to be like this

Yes, cause I'm prone to skin infections easy so i'm afraid of insects ,

Well, lets just say I'm not scared of them. I don't love all bugs though, fucking hate mosquitoes and flies. And I find roaches disgusting. But I think getting into that world is fascinating though, and I even collected beetles and stuff as a kid to see their designs. They're interesting beings all in all :)

Personally, I don't see what's wrong with them. There are some gross looking ones, I guess (not to be insect-ist or anything lol), but nothing to be scared of.

I'm only terrified of certain ones. I'm afraid of bees mostly, I nearly got stung once because some brainless dudes decided to provoke the bees inside their hives and coincidentally my friend and I were walking past.
