Please help! Should I still go for a run even though I pulled a muscle?

A week ago I pulled something in my quad on my left leg. I've still been working out this week on it because I mean its not unbearable pain. But it is still not better. I just carbed up and am ready to work out but I wanted to ask as I am worried if I can worsen it. Should I work through it or rest?

I think when I was on the treadmill last week I was going faster than I normally do. And once my left leg kinda spasmed or fell out. (can't think of the right word) like someone kicked me in the back of my knee. It wasn't a big deal, I didn't have to stop or anything I just kept running.

I also have been adding weight to my squats. I used to do no weight and went to less reps and 20 pound dumbbells. I don't think thats it though? Could be that, could be the run. Either way I do stretch and keep my form the best I can but these things happen.

Would going on a jog be bad? Today was my 6 mile easy paced run.
Please help! Should I still go for a run even though I pulled a muscle?
