Exersize can help, it makes youu feel healthy encouraging you to eat healthier, also take pictures of your body, remind yourself why youur doing this. A picture of someones body you admire can also help. Good luck:).
I started out at 265 I'm currently 207.I'm 6'1.In all honesty a big part of it is diet did absolutely 0 running all my weight lost came from lifting weights here are some pics of me journey.I did a lot of studying about diet and excersises that site helped me alot.

GO EASY ON THE DAMN FAST FOOD! hahaha :)) cut out all the fast food, eat a more wholesome cereal and you'll see a difference. when you're working out, think about that pint of icecream at home and how much you want to eat it! before you eat the icecream, drink a lot of water and you won't want it.

dude try getting a bike and riding to work... was about 200 and then I bought a bike and I ride to work everyday... so go biking...
That might be a little far, but I will try biking more it's supposed to be one of the best ways to exercise.
Also try swimming...
