Depends how you've lost the weight. If it's through exersize then your metabolism will have increased and you'll burn calories faster than you did a month ago, keep up the exersize and your fine.
If you've lost the weight by not eating then your body goes into what I call 'survival' mode, your body realizes it isn't getting as many calories so it deliberately slows your metabolism to make the most of the little calories it gets. When your body is in this mode and you start to eat normally again you pile the weight back on twice as fast (as you said) because your body's metabolism is still slow.
Believe me, I've had weight problems, I know how my body works lol. Exersize is the key to weight loss, not going hungry :(

If you have a stable, healthy diet and exercise regularly, I don't see any way you could "surprisingly" and suddenly gain it all back. The rule of calories is that as long as the output matches the intake, you shouldn't gain weight. If you start gaining weight, you simply increase your output(more/better exercise) or decrease your intake(dietary adjustment).
Also, 40 kg in a month? You've done an absolutely amazing job, congratulations!
Depends on how you lost the weight in the first place. If you're FAD dieting, forget about contuing it, you'll kill yourself! But if you ate considerably healthy and well and take regular excersise, it's just about being able to keep that up and you won't put on that 40kg again.
Yes, you will most probably get it back, unless you find some sort of a healthy diet and continue your work out regime - if you have it...

If you spent the last month not eating enough (which, if 40kg is correct, it sounds like it), then yes, you will put that fat back on if you go back to a regular diet. If the last month was spent exercising and eating a solid amount of healthy food, then your weight shouldn't change unless you suddenly switch your diet to exclusively Big Macs and soda.
Just gradually start eating normally again, if that helps
only if you fast for a week straight, because then you are hungry and eat more
