I'm personally no doctor but I've got a friend getting their PH. D in the topic and their studies all point towards the boosters not necessarily PREVENTING the infection but lessening the severity. Being immune to a variant of Covid doesn't mean your immune to the new types. Covid is like the flu at this point. Boosters are made to reduce the symptoms not prevent. A booster can very well be the difference between being asymptomatic or on your death bed.
The reality is that everyone at some point is probably going to get one of the variants of Covid. Its inevitable.
I'm never gonna force anyone to get the booster or any of the shots. I just don't have the empathy then to worry or have much concern if you failed to listen to the suggestions that people who study this as their job and life. If you want to take the risk and become one of the many people a veggie on a ventilator be my guest. I'm just glad I'm not the one footing your bill when you get out.

Wouldn't that be nice to know? After over two fucking years the geniuses at the WHO and CDC still refuse to answer that question. Best you can get is Lord Fauci saying, "we just don't know. It's to early to tell". But, they apparently know everything about the vaccine. How wonderful it is, after Trump lost the election. Before that? Well, listen to the sound bites. Biden wouldn't trust it. Lord Fauci said it will never happen before the end of 2020. All the the manufacturers said they wouldn't have a "safe, reliable vaccine until the summer of 2021". Then Trump lost the election and it became, YOU'RE killing grandma and grandpa if you don't get vaccinated. Why don't you trust it? TWO FUCKING YEARS and they're telling us they still know nothing about the effectiveness of natural resistance? We all know it is very effective for every other virus. Why not this one? Also, why do they continuously ignore studies from other countries?
Nurse here. It is still a good idea and recommended to get your booster shot even if you have had COVID.
You will need to wait until your symptoms have subsided.
Since you just recovered from covid-19 you’ll still have immunity for a few months. check with your nurse/doctor about this.

I would talk to your doctor, but everything I’ve read points towards lasting protection after infection. Your body handles an infection of a virus in the wild a lot differently than from a vaccine. The US is the only country not talking about it.
A little old but it’s still up:
https://www.nih.gov/news-events/nih-research-matters/lasting-immunity-found-after-recovery-covid-19the immunity you get from the booster apparently only lasts for 3 months at best. the immunity you get from infection lasts for a year at least. there's not one recorded case of having covid twice. sometimes peope assume they had it twice but they forget there's the flu.
You should really consult a doctor.
As I understand it, if you test positive for COVID, you should wait until all symptoms are gone, and then wait several more days, before getting hot, whether that be the first, second or booster.I think it is better to wait a few weeks. Your antibodies will last a while, so better to wait for your booster.
This is all a gawdam hoax!
Stop falling for this nonsense.
They're gonna keep coming out with new variants and keep making you get a vaccine. How are you people not seeing through the BS by now?Do what you feel is best. I am not getting the booster. I already got coerced into getting the vaccine because I would have lost one of my main sources of income.
I think you have to wait a certain amount of time after infection to get the vaccine. But yes you should get it. The vaccine has 10 plus times more protection than antibodies from the virus itself
I'm in the same boat and I am wondering if its even worth it. But wait till you're completely healthy if you do get the booster.
No, no more shots are needed. You’re only risking health issues from the shots at this point.
Nope. Not that omnicron is out there is evidence that the antibodies work much better than the vaccine. Apparently omnicron symptoms are much more severe for those that got the vaccine rather than those that got another variant of Covid.
Doesn't matter , this is a lab grown bio weapon by CCP. You can get it with or without shots and many times. The argument is can you survive with shots better than without shots? Answer : we don't know because people with shots have died.
nope... it's useless to get the booster if you just recently had covid...
Male nurse here. It is still a good idea and recommended to get your booster shot even if you have had COVID.
You will need to wait until your symptoms have subsided.Supposedly the vaccines and boosters are highly ineffective against Omicron.
I know someone her cousin got the booster and is now brain dead.
During a infection with Covid, no Booster can be given. Wait 3 Months.
Yes, it is. The "natural immunity" thing is good for a very short period of time.
vaccines and boosters are pointless if you are already infected
so why exactly is vaccine not enough
It is if you want to enter restaurants and travel
