i was laying in bed talking to my girlfriend when all of a sudden i lost my voice and couldn’t breathe in i stood up and after a few seconds it went away it was scary and i couldn’t speak for a few seconds like i could make noise but no words and i couldn’t make loud noise more like wheezing i drank water and took same heart burn pills i googled what it could be and it said it could be linked to acid reflux which i had eaten spicy food that day and a lot of it or it says stuff in your lungs i also worked at a house that day tearing insulation out the walls and i didn’t wear any face gear and breathed in a lot i walked outside and tried coughing to help it and it did but that same night the thing happened it has only happened once but i am curious has it happened to other people and what could be the cause of it and is it serious

Could just be the position you where laying in. Though it could also be something with your heart.
As always with stuff like this, if it is something you experience again you should see your doctor for advice.
I've been winded before by my elder brother when we would play roughly together when small. That was a similar feeling but I could put that down to an obvious cause.
could be a acid reflux thing cause the way i was laying
cause there was not chest pain or any pain just speaking and slight breathing mainly speaking
yeah, maybe. The fact it passed quickly is always a good sign.
Were you having trouble inhaling? Reason I ask is anytime I eat high starch foods or foods that are starchlike in texture they get stuck and I can't breathe or I get the hiccups (or both) until I drink fluid. The cause of it is scar tissue in my throat though it can also be caused by irregular bumps in your throat or irregular shape of your throat.
right before ate a lot of taco bell and i smothered it in hot sauce
Unlikely spicy food would cause the symptoms you talked about. Have you had similar via any other foods?
not that i can remember
