Do something to stop you from thinking about food. Go on a walk, go do an activity, read a book, anything that gets your mind away from that. It sucks I know, because I love to snack too, but you have to force yourself to just get out of that frame of mind. After a while it becomes easier because your body adjusts to having less food.

well when there are no live babies available then I simply don't eat because there is no food source obviously
If you feel like eating but you know you shouldn't at that moment then just keep yourself busy, go do something to take your mind off it.
best thing to do is to drink a lot of water. Reduces your apetite at the cost of 0 calories.

I have the same problem as you. I eat and when I'm bored again I eat some more.
