Losing weight...help?

I'm 106 pounds and 5'2. I would like to lose some weight and get down to 100 pounds, possibly 98 pounds. I have never really tried to lose weight before so I would like some tips and pointers please. I used to cross country run and ran track through hs and have been running fairly often but not as intensely since I'm out of hs (I just finished my sophomore year of college.) I don't eat a ton of terrible food but I would like to eat healthier. Does anyone have any tips on how to lose weight or any healthy eating tips? Thanks :)
