The best way is to do a combination of cardio and weightlifting. Using an elliptical or stationary bike or running would be good for cardio. The weightlifting is important because building up more muscle will help you keep the weight off. Muscle burns a lot more calories than fat when you're at rest, so more muscle means you will have higher metabolism.
Try Pilates :) A great way to tone your muscles and train them to stay in great shape. Try looking up Blogilates on Youtube it's a trainer named Cassey Ho, I love her stuff! :D Hopefully you like it.

The best way is to watch your calorie intake and do cardio and some weightlifting. 5lb weights are good for toning. Cardio that I do to lose/maintain my weight is jogging and I use a spinning bike at the gym.
