I've been dating a guy for about 8 months now. He's truly great- so kind, athletic, and incredibly intelligent, as well. To be brief, we have a LOT in common, I absolutely adore him and he makes me laugh like no other. My problem is that I don't feel like I make him happy. Sure, we get along great, but I feel like that's all it is to him, "getting along". I feel like the adoration in my relationship is a bit one sided; I spill my heart out to him sometimes and he responds with short things like "awwww thanks babe, love you too". I get that some people aren't as emotional, but I also notice differences in other's Snapchats and social media posts of him. He seems like he's enjoying himself more, and way more comfortable. He's never said that I DON'T make him happy, but he's never said that I do, either. I understand the logical comeback answer to this is easily "don't worry, if he wasn't happy he'd leave" or something like that, but this is a relatively new concern and I don't think it's gotten to that point yet. It breaks my heart to think about letting him go, but I feel like letting him stay with me is doing more harm than good. I want him to be as happy as he can & in a fulfilling relationship, but I don't feel like he is with me, which obviously makes it harder for me to feel fulfilled, too. Asking for advice, different points of view, and opinions!! Thanks!
Repay the favor. Basically, do something that he has done for you.
