Someone needs to put me in a straight jacket Please!
I love hugging and kissing my friends and family, which for the most part I am still doing, but other people I know are starting to get hysterically paranoid about it.This is the only way I can keep from hugging people!What is your take on it and what are you doing if you are like me and are not supposed to even get near other people?
When ever I see someone I know well, the first thing I do is to hug them... but now what? ... this is making me sad :(
What are you doing if you are a hugger like me? ... this is a serious question! ... I really want to know!
A. I am following protocol and staying at least six feet away from everyone, I am not going to take any risks and you shouldn't either!
B. I am not worried about it and am still hugging and/or kissing others, as long as it is someone I know, if they are OK with it. I think they have blown this all out of proportion!
C. I am still uncertain what to do. Some I might hug, or kiss, and others not. It is still all a little confusing to me as exactly what to do

I'm with you, Laurie. I am also kind of physical. It's nice to give and get hugs but I even miss warm, friendly handshakes these days. People are doing stupid shit like bumping elbows instead.
It would be okay if this was temporary, but I wonder how long it will last. Here's the thing, we swim in a sea of viruses every moment. In fact, our bodies are practically made of viruses. The flu and other diseases have always been around us but we went about our business as usual. Now COVID-19 comes along. It is similar to SARS and MERS and those didn't wipe out humanity.
For some reason, the media has decided to create panic by talking about nothing else. The government is now mandating the closing of businesses and virtual martial law. That exacerbates the panic. It's a panic like I've never witnessed before.
So it makes me wonder if people will ever go back to being comfortable shaking hands and hugging. I'm sure they will, but I wonder how long it will take.
I voted for option B. I have been mostly isolated, and I’m super careful when outside running errands like grocery shopping.
I was recovering from the flu & called out of work the Wed/Thur/Fri before the pandemic designation... so outside of grocery shopping I’ve been home the last 11 days.
Because I know I’m not carrying the coronavirus (my flu like symptoms didn’t include coughing or sneezing), I at least know that *I* am not spreading the disease when I hug someone.
So I’ll hug any family and friend who wants one, and my girlfriend still get smooches from me. 😗
I'm a hugger too - but since I can't go to work or barely out of the house, I don't see anyone aside from my girlfriend - on the positive side, we both get to work from home so I've seen her more in the past week than in the previous month when we were both travelling, lol !! And having a lot of fun making up for lost time :-)
I don't see many people so that's not too much an issue. But had my daughter come get the groceries I bought her in case of lockdown and yeah hugged the shit out of her because if we would get locked down and don't know for how long, might be while till see her again. That ain't social though, that's my baby ♥️
According to me it was mostly created by media by showing the number of affected people and number death toll... then the main line comes as NO CURE and people panicked instantly. But media has completely avoided the scenario of the number people cured and go back to their home... That's is really encouraging.. still more than 80% people are recovering.. but the problem is the number of people affecting is the problem. Coz no country has sufficient capacity to treat those people... ND every nation took it lightly at the beginning... So this is the gap where virus got time to spread faster than you can think of... So the problem is the hospital capacity and people died because of not getting chance to get the treatment...

My daughter and I aren't getting that close to each other. We've both been out but me more than her. I don't want her to get sick while finishing her online university classes and she doesn't want to get me sick because I fall under the older adult category. I think it's causing more stress because we normally do some hugging especially when we are stressed. I think we are getting very grumpy.

We did a back hug last night meaning we stood back to back with our arms linked. She had said I wish we could hug.
I can really understand what you are experienced and your feelings. But think that this is a temporary situation. When the conditions are normal you hug and kiss them, amply. I think they want to see you healthy (and vice versa). Please don't kiss and don't hug them for a while and don't go out or take your precautions when go out. And always take care of yourself 😊...
I usually will love on something like a teddy bear so that I at least have an outlet for my affection. (Otherwise, I have almost like a sort of "affection overload".)
Also, to be honest, you sound like someone I wouldn't mind being around since I love receiving as much as giving!😌
My husband & I already got tested. Results are negative. We're definitely still doing all those touchy, feely, huggy, kissy, (and so much more!) things.
I haven't been touchy since 2018 so the struggle isn't that hard for me rn 😂 plus im a germaphobe and thats enough to make me wanna keep my hands to myself
I still hug and kiss my husband and my baby. The baby is still very young, so I had to be extra careful before. Now that we are staying home, it’s less of a concern. And it’s not like I can let him fend for himself!
@laurieluvsit Fortunately I'm on a twelve months maternity leave so I'm naturally remaining at home and will continue to be close and affectionate to my husband, and obviously will not stop breastfeeding our seven week old baby boy.
Thankfully I'm not a touchy person by nature I actually force myself to be when the need arises so I'm safe. But I do miss touching people never thought I would.
I only hug or people that I know really well like girlfriend, bestfriend and parents. If you limited yourself that you know are same approach to this as you are. Its unlikely you will get it.
Im a hugger and kisser and love the cliseness of another body. I hug my female friends fully clothed but without kissing or having any skin to skin contact. I sometimes get very horny so it can be very frustrating
And if only one of them somehow catches the virus by some unlikely/likely event, one of you will hug and kiss the other three's coffin, until his/her is also kissed by earthworms living below the ground...
If they're cats, always keep them inside (leave the blinds open so they can get sunlight) or if you really want to let them outside, let them outside solely in the fenced backyard. If they're dogs, always keep them either inside or in your fenced backyard, or for short walks, long enough for them to piss and shit, and then bring them home. That way you won't have to worry about your pets giving you COVID19.
Why yes I am sweets. I'm my normal jovial self... it's 80 degrees outside and going outdoors is now frowned upon... me and my kitten sitting in the window..😕😼

1. Hold down the desire to snuggle for a while. 2. Keep snuggling, but after a while you may have to stop snuggling with your friends... and the Satan in hell (nobody in the present world is good enough to be sent to heaven) will snuggle with you... and I can assure, you wouldn't like that...
