How do I chat up with a random guy on Facebook?

Okay so a few months ago, I came across this random guy’s Facebook profile. When I first saw his profile picture, I thought he was really, really hot. I don’t usually send random friend requests, but somehow I saw him as an exception. So I sent him a friend request. He lives in the same town as me. A couple days later, he accepted my friend request, so we're Facebook friends now. This was in February. Unfortunately, he was in a relationship already, and his girlfriend was actually an old friend of my sister’s during their high school years, so I didn't contact him (and neither did he). He’s a year younger than me. In March, according to Facebook, they broke up and he is now “single.” Today, he is still listed as "single". We never contacted each other yet. He’s also never goes on the Facebook chat. He does go on Facebook regularly though. I’m surprised he hasn’t contacted me yet actually. I’m a beautiful girl and I have had guys trying to chat me up and send me private messages. I’m hoping he will do so eventually, but I honestly can’t wait for him even if I wanted to. I want to break the ice and start a conversation with him somehow WITHOUT making the first move. How would I go about doing this without coming off too obvious? I was thinking as a start, maybe “liking” his statuses to get his attention and be on his radar, would that work? What else could I do? I've never done this before...

This is easy. Send him a FB message and say "Hey, I noticed that your girlfriend (or ex-girlfriend) was a friend of my sister's when she was in high school. How is she doing? That will break the ice, then you've got to come up with the next few lines to find out more and hopefully get a favorable response. Use google to come up with some ideas on what to transition the conversation into next.

Bummer. Okay, so what's your suggestion on making the first move. Should I chat with him, message him, like his status, comment on his status or picture? How would I go about doing it? I've never done this before on FB...

Well the best way to start a relationship would be in person so if you have the chance of meeting him at a party then take it.

Other than that just start talking to him on Facebook. If everything goes well and you build up a relationship then you're on your way. Commenting on the status is alright, but a tad public. Commenting on photos (especially old ones) is a bit odd because then they know you've been looking through all their photos.

So I'd say, just start talking to him on chat.

It's up to you. If he has the newest version of MSN which is a hybrid between Facebook and MSN then you're already there under the Facebook contacts.

If you want, then you can add him. Just don't add him then not talk to him. Make some effort to start a relationship and it should eventually pay off.

Girls can't be creepy, unless they're hideous. If you're at least average, the worst thing you'll come off as is flattering. Just message him and say hi or something, it's tough to induce a guy to make the first move online.

Just send him a message "Hii" & after say him, "sry, I sent it to u by mistake". then u stop & he will carry on conversation with.

& be alert & do not melt quickly, just talk to him as friend, let him get trust in you that you are a nice girl who has a nice character. First be his friend for 1 month then after that you should decide after wise thinking.
