The more I slim down, the more my boyfriend makes fat jokes towards me?

Long story short. Im 5'4 112lbs but last year I weighed about 145lbs. When I was that weight he never made jokes about me but now that I lost weight and im smaller he continously makes fat jokes, it makes no sense. He's very self conscious about his weight too so maybe he feels insecure about me losing so much weight. So I make penis jokes saying how small his penis is because he has a small penis. I didn't start making those jokes until he started making fat jokes thought. Now he's feeling some type of way because he always says how those jokes bothers him but he know's the fat jokes bother me. What do you all think about this situation

It seems like the two of you are probably not right for each other. Both of you have issues with the body of the other and have disrespectful methods of communication with each other. These conversations seem very unhealthy and toxic.

As for his reason for doing it, you're probably right that it's because he's insecure about his own weight. 112 is nowhere near fat. And congratulations on losing so much weight. I'm sure that took a lot of discipline and hard work!

It sounds like your boyfriend is a very insecure person in general. He's uncomfortable with both his body size and his penis size. Someone with such low self-esteem would be very difficult to have a good relationship with.

This conflict lies much more with him than with you. You were simply reacting to something that he did to you. It was wrong for him to stoop to speaking negatively about the way you look, even if he was trying to be funny. That's a horrible thing for someone to say to their girlfriend. No one likes being called fat, even as a joke. That doesn't make it any better.

It would most likely be very very hard to get him to stop doing this, especially now that he's gotten so much in the habit of it. I don't think the respect can be regained at this point. It's probably best to let this relationship go before the anger and resentment builds even more between the two of you.

People like to judge others to rectify themselves because they are not perfect. So when someone makes fun of someone else and it’s not just being playful but actually trying to hurt you, it just means they are insecure about themselves and judging you or being critical about you so they can feel better about there imperfections

The wee laddie (no pun intended) is insecure. He's trying to drag you down to make him feel better about himself. You need to have it out with him. He needs to take responsibility for his hurtful comments, because well, they're hurting, and presumably degrading the relationship.
