A good friend of mine, who I haven’t had much contact with, (we are just both so busy, no hard feelings) in the last couple years.. is now telling others, I’m a racist.
She recently had a baby. She adopted him. She is white and he is black. I commented on her fb picture, that he was beautiful and I loved his lips. His lips are adorable. He has a pronounced Cupid’s bow. My son, a few years older, also has the cutest lips and a very defined frenulum and I comment on them often. I recently learned that she will not speak to me because she thinks I have been derogatory and a racist in my comments. I was simply commenting on a sweet baby’s cute lips, end of story. I’m very unnerved by this assumption she has made. To me, it’s an unbelievable accusation. Am I being worked up over nothing? I am very offended and not sure I understand the knowledge behind this. Thank you!
