He acts kinda like my boyfriend but doesn’t make much effort to let me know that he’s not if that makes sense. He’s very cold sometimes with me when I’d be very lovey dovey.

So I was telling him today about my friends wanting to do things together but he was hurt because he wanted to be included but I told him it’s a bit weird bringing you as your not my boyfriend.
my friends are all in serious relationships and know he broke up with me so for me I’d feel crap if I brought him. But I just would rather be in a relationship but he doesn’t want one he said he wants to take things slow but I mean I ask him when will u want a relationship with me and he doesn’t know just keeps telling me baby steps he tells me he loves me nall
but tells me he doesn’t like telling me and I said is it because I will get my hopes up and he said no because he doesn’t like saying it yet but then calls me babe and acts like a boyfriend with me at times. Ik confusing right?
But yeah what do you all think of him wanting to be included with my friends and not wanting to be my boyfriend? Should he be mad at me for saying he has to be my boyfriend before I bring him out with my friends?
