Would you ever let a female friend live with you if you both want to stay single?

For guys, if you met a woman and she didn’t want a relationship and you didn't either, would you let her live with you indefinitely? Like a life partner but without the relationship or sex part. Living with a friend forever. I guess its called a Civil Union in law.

Bonus: Could you do this even if you wanted a relationship in general with someone one day

First, that would mean her consuming my resources that I prefer to spend other ways.

Second, it would (understandably) be a big red flag for any woman I might be looking to date, or even just bang. It would mean that I would be required to be single and celibate indefinitely, and that doesn't benefit me in the slightest.

Essentially, this would all benefit HER, at MY expense. Why would I agree to that?

Let me be VERY clear here: any man who WOULD agree to that would only do so BECAUSE he was hoping to eventually get sex from her (and, maybe, to get a relationship with her). Proof? Let's pretend the woman in question was a 2/10 in looks, or experienced a tragic accident that somehow resulted in the loss of her breasts and vagina. Would those same men agree to this now? I *assure* you, the answer is "no", because, whether they would admit it or not, they would understand that there is nothing in it for them.

I've put friends - including female friends - up at my house for short periods of time to help them out, but there was always a deadline.

Aside from close family, the only person who is going to live with me indefinitely is going to be a sexual partner (at least!) if not a romantic partner.

Personally, I think it's better to just have each person get a place in the same neighborhood and then just visit and hang out frequently.

I'm leaning towards no that's stupid, at least for me. Even tho it'd be fun if we did things together, the company etc... but it would just make it extremely hard for me if i wanted to date and a relationship with someone. Maybe. My best friend lives about an hour away stays at my place almost every weekend and has since late 2014. One of the bedrooms is effectively hers to use whenever she wants.
