This is fairly uncommon but i see this happening from time to time. (Hint: My parents have both relocated there and brought me with them when I was a kid. But I alone moved back to Europe)
Basically imagine you are in a relationship or are married and you live under comfortable conditions in America or Europe where people from all over the world keep migrating to. And then your partner announces, that he/she/it is unhappy here and wants to relocate in some desolated area devoid of all the comforts, that became standard in America and Europe (being lower-to-middle class, supermarkets, healthcare, pharmacies, utilities, warm water, electricity, all of it available 24/7, jobs with regular income, training centers and much more...)
Your partner wants to move away from this
into this
somewhere in the *beep* of the world.
