One of my guy friends who I've known since forever, we've always had a thing for each other but throughout the years because of different circumstances neither of us ever did something about it until recently. He is studying abroad and a month ago he came back home over winter break. During that whole month we started hooking up and seeing each other constantly.
We have always been close friends and had a lot of love for each other which is part of the reason why we never did something about this unspoken tension between us but now we finally have and things have changed. We talk about everything but what is going on between us mainly because I think we are both not ready. He left a week ago again for college and I'm leaving in a month for college, just two hours away from where he currently is. I honestly don't know what is going on we are still texting non stop every day and I like him but I don't think we are ready.
The thing is he is that person, you know. That person who even if you are both with different people or haven't seen in forever they are always in the back of your head. You always have a soft spot for them no matter what. Not necessarily because something has ever happened between you two (well now it has), but because there has always been that "What if". Well, I think it's time to explore that "what if" but I don't know if either of us are ready for it.

Yes I have had one that I can not still forget. We all have and if anyone else says otherwise then they are lying. It could be that such a person who asserts they have no one that they can forget... He/she may have never been in a serious long-term relationship where we give of ourselves fully.
He is "that person", but your rampant hypergamy and need to ride the carousel makes a real relationship impossible.
Only a girl I dated.
